Six National Poetry Month online activities:
1) Poem-A-Day: Every day in April, Poetry.org will share a poem from new books published this spring. Check it out here.

2) 30 Videos in 30 Days: Diesel Bookstores (Brentwood and Malibu) will share one poetry video a day on its website for the 30 days of April, National Poetry Month. See them all here.

3) Poem Flow: an iTunes app you can purchase that animates and reads to you your favorite poems. Get it here. Poets and authors available include Shakespeare, Chaucer, Milton, Donne, Bunyan, Swift, Johnson, Blake, Shelley, Byron, Keats, Wordsworth, Whitman, Dickinson, Thoreau, Emerson, Longfellow, Poe, Twain, Tennyson, and many others.

4) National Poetry Map: Also from Poets.org, helps you locate local poets, poems, events, literary journals, writing programs, and poetry organizations. Check it out.

5) Barnes & Noble Review: B&N shares poems throughout April that you can enjoy and forward to friends. Check them out here. Use the “newer article” tab at the bottom right to navigate to the latest poem.

6) Pause for Poetry: Take a quick break from your life for a few minutes and watch poetry videos here at the LA Books Examiner.
