This week’s Pause for Poetry focuses on two readings by poet and novelist

Kim Addonizio from her books Tell Me, a National Book Award Finalist, and What Is This Thing Called Love.

Described as elegiac and unashamed, Addonizio’s work is at once shocking and raw as she addresses themes like addiction, obsession, and loss with an ultimate goal of catharsis. Addonizio is the author of four books of poetry. Her fifth book, Lucifer at the Starlite, will be published by W.W. Norton in October 2009.

Let’s all hit the Pause button on our lives for a few minutes and watch Kim Addonizio in action.
